The visa-free regime for citizens of Kazakhstan operates in Albania, Andorra, Moldova, Ukraine, and Serbia in Europe, with Thailand introducing a 60-day visa-free entry on July 15, 2024.
According to tour operators, the most popular destinations for Kazakhstanis during the summer season are Vietnam, Bali, Turkey, Egypt, UAE, Qatar, Georgia, and Montenegro. Vietnam offers an enticing combination of visa-free access and remarkable destinations like Nha Trang, whose appeal has been boosted by flights to Danang this year.
Bali requires a visa, but travelers can reach the main resort areas through Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile, Turkey, with its all-inclusive packages, remains a popular choice for families. Egypt draws tourists with its combo visa, while Thailand and Montenegro have visa-free regimes valid for 60 and 90 days, respectively, during the summer season.
Other destinations favored by Kazakhstanis in the summer include Georgia, known for its beautiful landscapes and Russian-speaking population, and Qatar for its ease of travel and affordable accommodations. UAE and the Maldives also prove popular with Kazakh travelers.
To ensure a stress-free vacation, Tungatova recommends families with young children choose Turkey as their sunny beach destination, taking advantage of its proximity to Almaty, which makes for a comfortable 5.5-hour flight. UAE and Qatar are also accessible, but the hot summer climate discourages many travelers from choosing them. Vietnam, Georgia, Montenegro, and Turkey top the list for the best summer vacation spots while being mindful of travel complexity and expenses.
