Ten-day celebration of Rhine's exquisite wines, filled with pleasure and merriment.
48th Rheingau Wine Week Kicks Off in Wiesbaden
The 48th Rheingau Wine Week is set to take place in Wiesbaden, Germany, from Friday, August 8 to Sunday, August 17, 2025. This annual event is a celebration of the city's rich wine culture, showcasing the best of local and international wines in a unique urban setting [1].
During the wine week, the city streets will transform into a vibrant festival atmosphere, featuring wine tastings, cultural events, and opportunities to engage with winemakers. The event will host 95 wine stands, 20 food stands, a water stand, a lottery stand, and a charitable stand named "Light up a Light" [1].
One of the highlights of this year's event is the new format called "Riesling Vibes," which will feature electronic music served with Riesling. New food options include Kolle & Friends with creative street food, a cheese realm offering Dutch varieties, and galettes and flammkuchen on the Dern'schen grounds [1].
Two new wineries, Weingut Moii from Geisenheim and Weingut Preis from Hochheim, will premiere at the event. Wiesbaden's youngest partner city, Kamjanez-Podilskyj in western Ukraine, will also present itself at the Rheingau Wine Week [1].
For those planning to attend, an interactive stand overview on www.wiesbaden.de can help with planning and visiting as many winery stands as possible.
The first aid station is located between the Market Church and the kindergarten and is staffed daily from the early evening [1]. Toilets are available at three sites in the festival area and cost 1 Euro per visit, as before [1]. A mobile ATM is available between the town hall and the Market Church.
Bicycle parking spaces are available in the Market Church and Prince's Garden. The taxi stand changes to Wilhelmstraße at 18:00, as every year [1].
For those attending with children, Evangelical Family Education offers childcare in the House of the Market Church on weekends for a fee [1]. Awareness teams will be present on Friday and Saturday evenings to offer safe spaces and a safe festival feeling [1].
The event ticket includes a welcome wine and can be redeemed for a 3.00 Euro voucher at certain stands [1]. In line with sustainability efforts, plastic tableware is banned, and caterers opt for reusable items. The wine glass is made from eco-friendly material [1].
A new entry protection concept will be presented on August 11 for additional security [1]. As always, the Rheingau Wine Week promises to be a memorable event for wine lovers and visitors alike.
