Revised Terms of Agreement
The B. Braun-Stiftung has announced the availability of its mentoring program, designed to foster communication and collaboration among mentors, startups, and third parties. This initiative is open for participation, with volunteer mentors playing a crucial role.
The Role of Volunteer Mentors
Volunteer mentors, selected and trained by the Foundation or its agents, are expected to act with punctuality, assiduity, interest, and in accordance with the conditions defined. They are required to comply with Brazilian Law No. 9.608/1998 and any other applicable laws.
The Mentoring Platform
The program's communication platform, a messageboard, is moderated to ensure a positive and productive environment. Users are expected to respect others, post relevant content, and avoid sharing confidential information or proprietary data. Confidentiality is crucial in the mentorship program, with sensitive information like business plans, financial data, trade secrets, and proprietary information being treated as confidential.
Responsibilities and Rights
Volunteer mentors are not entitled to any remuneration from the Foundation, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Expenses related to volunteering are not reimbursed by the Foundation, except when previously and expressly authorized in writing. Volunteer mentors grant the Foundation a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, nonexclusive, worldwide license to use and sublicense any existing copyrights and intellectual property rights on content they create for the program.
The Foundation is authorized to use and reproduce the name, image, and/or voice of volunteer mentors captured during the program for outreach activities. Participants should be aware of and accept the Foundation's Privacy Policy.
User Responsibilities
Users of the messageboard are responsible for their own posts and are not liable for content posted by others. Violations of the messageboard terms or inappropriate behavior may lead to suspension or termination of access. Participants are expected to preserve the confidentiality of proprietary business information and personal data.
Terms of Use
The program has specific Terms of Use in addition to existing policies, including Privacy Policy, EULA, and Terms of Use. These Additional Terms of Use will remain in effect for as long as the volunteer services are provided, and the license for intellectual property and authorization for image/voice use are indefinite.
In summary, the B. Braun-Stiftung's mentoring program offers an opportunity for volunteer mentors to contribute to a positive and productive environment, while adhering to a set of guidelines and expectations designed to ensure the program's success.
