Residents of the Camchatka region encouraged to join the competition titled "Far East: A Territory of Adventures"
The third season of the nationwide competition "Far East - Land of Adventures" is now open for new participants. This competition, which encourages filmmakers to create films about travels throughout the Far East, including regions like Kamchatka, is a unique opportunity to showcase the beauty and adventures of this remote and stunning region.
Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far East, stated that the jury will evaluate films about travels throughout the entire Far East and Arctic. The competition is open to everyone, including experienced tourists, beginners, and children (with adult supervision). Most of the films submitted so far are dedicated to the Far East and the Arctic, with six already showcasing Kamchatka.
Vladimir Rusanov, Minister of Tourism of the Kamchatka Region, invited everyone to come to Kamchatka and shoot their own film about adventures and travels in Kamchatka. The journey for the competition must take place between May 1, 2023, and January 15, 2026. Participants must create a video clip up to eight minutes long about their journey in the Far East or the Arctic and submit it through the official website puteshestvennikdv.ru no later than January 15, 2026.
The competition categories include hiking, water, winter routes, and a new category - Arctic expeditions. Previous seasons' winners have included both professional films shot with special equipment and impressive videos recorded on a regular smartphone. The author of the best video will receive the main prize of three million rubles.
Rusanov also encouraged those who submitted their films last year, but didn't win prizes, to re-evaluate, re-edit their video material, and resubmit their film about travels in Kamchatka to the "Far East - Land of Adventures" competition.
