NEPC Boosts Non-Oil Exports in H1 2025 with Mentorship and Seedling Distribution

The Nigeria Exports Promotion Council (NEPC) has been actively driving non-oil exports to foster sustainable and inclusive economic growth. Recently, Director General Mrs Noneye Ayeni presented a report on the first half of 2025's performance in Abuja, highlighting key initiatives and achievements.

The NEPC's Export Mentorship Programme has proven successful, with over 150 SMEs trained and 60 exporters mentored by top performers. The programme aims to boost the volume and value of non-oil exports. The NEPC acknowledges the support of the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, in driving this diversification agenda.

In addition to mentorship, the NEPC has sensitised over 100 SMEs on market opportunities and export requirements in the global market. This was done through workshops held in Lagos and Kano, focusing on companies along the spices value chain. The NEPC's Corporate Social Investment has also distributed cocoa, sesame seeds, and oil palm seedlings to support local agriculture.

The NEPC has distributed a total of 23,239 hybrid seedlings and farm inputs to 3,047 farmers across the country, demonstrating its commitment to driving growth in the non-oil export sector. The council remains dedicated to navigating challenges and delivering value to stakeholders.
