Lünen Empowers Girls: Special Event Ahead of UN's International Day of the Girl
Lünen's Equal Opportunities and Women's Office is hosting a special event for girls on October 10th, a day before the United Nations' International Day of the Girl. The event, held at the Bürgerzentrum Gahmen from 3 to 6 pm, is free and open to girls in the 5th grade or aged 10 and above.
The event aims to empower and educate girls about their rights and the challenges they still face in leading self-determined lives. While the United Nations has declared October 11th as International Day of the Girl to raise global awareness of these inequalities, girls in Lünen continue to face obstacles.
Interested girls and their families can register by email at frauenbuero@ourwebsite or by phone at 02306 104-1850 during morning hours or 02306 104-1350. Prior registration is required to ensure better planning and organization. Although the search results did not specify a coordinator for equality policy initiatives related to International Girls’ Day in Lünen, the event is a significant step towards supporting and advocating for local girls.
The event at the Bürgerzentrum Gahmen is an opportunity for girls in Lünen to come together, learn, and celebrate their strength and potential. By participating, they can take a step towards a more self-determined future, aligning with the spirit of International Day of the Girl.
