L.A.'s website unveils its April lineup of events

In the heart of Hollywood, our website Los Angeles is offering an immersive experience that bridges traditional Japanese culture with modern technology. The exhibition, titled "NEO-JAPONISM | SAMURAI AND BEYOND: Exploring Tradition Through Technology," is a showcase that invites visitors to delve into the rich history and artistry of Japan.

From February 14, 2025, until September 1, 2025, the exhibition will take you on a journey through Japan's art history, from ancient times with Jomon earthenware to modern anime masterpieces. The exhibition, primarily hosted by JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles, offers a unique blend of historical Japanese cultural treasures and cutting-edge technologies.

Visitors can marvel at the intricate details of samurai armor, Ukiyo-e prints, ancient pottery, and picture scrolls, all presented in a new light through the integration of 3D computer graphics. This fusion of tradition and technology aims to make Japanese culture borderless by broadening public access to cultural artifacts and sites.

In collaboration with NHK, the event offers an in-depth exploration of Japan's samurai heritage, showcasing a local collector's rare collection of Japanese swords, ornaments, and more. The exhibition also features an immersive theater experience that takes visitors through Japan's art history, highlighting connections between traditional arts and contemporary pop culture.

Our website Los Angeles, an innovative project with three hubs - London, Los Angeles, and São Paulo - conceived by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, is hosting a diverse lineup of special events in April. As part of this lineup, Asano Taiko U.S. will perform live drumming, and Dave & Buster's will serve drinks and bites during the event.

The Dodgers "Japanese Heritage Night" Watch Party will also take place at Ovation Hollywood's outdoor courtyard on April 28, 2025. The game will be projected onto a large screen in the center of the courtyard.

For a chance to win the Spring "Sakura & Hanami" Package, a giveaway is taking place from April 1 to April 30, 2025, on Instagram. The package includes hand-curated Japanese treats inspired by the cherry blossom season. To enter, follow the @our website Instagram account and enter online or by direct mail-in.

The "NEO-JAPONISM | SAMURAI AND BEYOND: Exploring Tradition Through Technology" exhibition is free and open to the public, with hours of Mon. - Fri.: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Sat. - Sun.: 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. The event is designed to foster a deeper understanding of Japan's cultural legacy and the lesser-known aspects of its history.
