Kazakhstan's Airline initiates a non-stop service from Almaty to Minsk
In an exciting development for travel between Belarus and Kazakhstan, SCAT Airlines has announced the launch of regular flights between Minsk National Airport and Almaty International Airport. The flights will operate twice a week, specifically on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The inaugural flight took place on August 10, 2025, marking a significant milestone for both SCAT Airlines and the two cities. The flight from Almaty, operated by a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, was met with a ceremonial welcome at Minsk National Airport. The occasion included a traditional water arch salute and was attended by Vladimir Chereukhin, the Director General of Minsk National Airport, who congratulated SCAT Airlines on the launch of this new route.
Passengers on the inaugural flight were also treated to gifts, a tradition that SCAT Airlines follows at new destination launches. The flight from Almaty is scheduled to depart at 05:30 local time, arriving in Minsk at 09:00. The return flight from Minsk is scheduled to depart at 10:00, arriving in Almaty at 17:05.
The flights connecting Minsk, Belarus with Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, will provide a convenient and direct travel option for passengers. SCAT Airlines, founded in 1997, is one of the largest airlines in Kazakhstan and serves both domestic and international destinations.
The launch of these flights is expected to boost tourism and trade between the two countries, making it easier for people to travel and businesses to connect. For journalists covering this story, the article was written by Mikhail Svetlov.
