Kamchatka Villagers Celebrate High-Speed Internet Access

Residents of Karaaga, Tymlat, and Kostroma in Kamchatka Krai are celebrating improved connectivity. High-speed internet access has been established, enabling them to perform speed tests and download large files swiftly and access the Unified Portal of State Services. This development has opened up new digital opportunities for the villagers.

The Karaginsky district has successfully completed the construction of a fiber-optic communication line and distribution networks to households. This infrastructure upgrade has been made possible using GPON technology, which allows for high-speed internet access. Over 800 residents now benefit from this modern service.

The new internet connection enables residents to use multiple digital services simultaneously on various devices. This includes access to video lessons and the Wink video service. Despite the significant improvement in connectivity, the company or organization responsible for installing the fiber-optic connection lines and subscriber networks remains unidentified to the public, with no information available in German or English.
