Italy's Emblems Collection increases, adding three new estates to its portfolios

In an exciting development for the hospitality industry, Accor's Emblems Collection is expanding its Italian portfolio with three new luxury properties. The properties, located in Siena, Umbria, and Apulia, are set to open their doors to guests in mid-2026.

The first of these properties, Palazzo Sozzini Malavolti, will be nestled in the heart of Siena. This restored historic palazzo, boasting 38 rooms, will feature original 19th-century frescoes, interiors that celebrate Tuscany's timeless craftsmanship, lush gardens, ancient caves, and a serene spa.

Relais San Clemente, located in Umbria, will offer a unique experience as a 51-room estate set on a large 40-hectare park that was once a Benedictine convent. The property includes nine private villas, a consecrated chapel dedicated to Saint Clement, and extensive wellness amenities. The setting emphasises nature and spirituality, making it an ideal retreat close to Perugia.

Masseria Furnirussi, located in Apulia, will offer 60 suites and a full spa, reimagining traditional Salento architecture in local white stone. Set within the largest fig orchard in Europe, the retreat will celebrate Mediterranean craftsmanship and lifestyle.

This expansion is made possible through a strategic partnership with AG Group, a dynamic and visionary Italian hospitality and tourism company founded by Andrea Girolami in 2000. AG Group has evolved into a multifaceted ecosystem encompassing luxury travel, hotel ownership, consulting, and gourmet dining.

Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems, expressed delight about the three new properties in Siena, Umbria, and Apulia. She stated that the collaboration aims to craft luxury experiences deeply rooted in the soul of each destination and defined by an elevated art of service.

With the addition of these three properties, the Emblems Collection's Italian portfolio will grow to four distinctive properties, offering guests unique and immersive experiences in some of Italy's most beautiful regions.

The strategic partnership between Accor and AG Group will allow for the expansion of the Emblems Collection, with a new luxury property named Palazzo Sozzini Malavolti in Siena. This property is set to become a retreat where Tuscan lifestyle, historical architecture, and serene spa experiences come together.

Relais San Clemente, situated in Umbria, will offer a unique travel experience with its spiritual and natural setting, banking on the heritage of a former Benedictine convent transformed into a luxury estate. On the other hand, Masseria Furnirussi, nestled in the heart of Apulia, will provide an immersive home-and-garden experience, blending traditional Salento architecture with a Mediterranean lifestyle.
