IGNITE your passion for learning Romanian at the 12th edition of ROLANG Summer School—an immersive language learning extravaganza happening from July 21st to August 1st, 2025, in the enchanting city of Sibiu, Romania, in collaboration with the German Cultural Center Sibiu.
Steeped in history, culture, and modernity, Sibiu—once the heart of Transylvanian Saxons—beckons you with its medieval architecture, rich cultural heritage, and lively student atmosphere. Forbes once named it as "Europe's 8th most idyllic place to live," and it was recognized as a European Capital of Culture, sharing the title with Luxembourg in 2007.
As a student, you'll not only grasp Romanian but also indulge in Sibiu's captivating allure. The summer school offers a myriad of activities, excursions, and outdoor adventures, including visits to local museums, historical sites, and cultural events. Connect with students from all corners of the globe, as classes are an international melting pot.
Teachers at ROLANG will nurture your language skills in a supportive, enjoyable learning environment, prioritizing communicative learning. You'll reap ample opportunities to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while fully diving into the Romanian language and culture.
The program includes morning sessions (30 hours of class courses for various proficiency levels) and afternoon activities ranging from conversation lessons and guided city tours to lectures on Romanian history, cultural integration, and social gatherings.
To participate, you must be at least 18 years old. Classes will simulate real-life situations, including role-playing, discussions, and exercises tailored to boost your mastery of grammar and vocabulary.
Upon course completion, you'll undergo an assessment and receive a certification showcasing your Romanian language proficiency level.
