Hanse Sail 2025 Announcement: AIDA Cruises infuses a vacation ambiance into the Rostock city port
AIDA Cruises, a significant partner for the region and one of the largest tourism players in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, has announced its participation as a top-tier sponsor ("Admiral" category) in the Hanse Sail 2025, taking place in Rostock from August 7 to 10, 2025.
During the maritime festival, AIDA Cruises will present a special "AIDA Urlaubswelt" (vacation world) at the Stadthafen on the Haedgehalbinsel, next to the Sunshine Stage. This immersive experience will offer visitors an opportunity to enjoy a show cabin, a beach club with palm trees and loungers, a large LED wall, and the popular "AIDA Kusshaltestelle" (kissing stop) area—all aimed at relaxation, discovery, and interactive fun.
Jana Lüth, Head of Communication at AIDA Cruises, emphasizes the company's longstanding connection with Rostock and regards the Hanse Sail as a heartfelt engagement and a prime platform to share the fascination of cruising across generations while supporting local culture, encounters, and economic value.
In addition to the on-ground activities, AIDA Cruises is running a large prize contest where visitors can win a travel voucher worth 2,500 euros, giving them an opportunity to experience the cruises beyond just viewing the ships from the quayside.
This participation underscores AIDA's commitment to the maritime festival, one of Europe's largest, celebrating sailing traditions and maritime culture in Rostock. Two AIDA ships, AIDAmar and AIDAdiva, will be at the Hanse Sail in Warnemünde on specified dates. AIDAmar will be in Warnemünde from August 7 to 10, 2025, and AIDAdiva will be there on August 9, 2025. AIDAmar will depart from Warnemünde on August 10, 2025, and AIDAdiva will set off on a 70-day journey to Norway on August 9, 2025.
AIDA Cruises supports cultural events such as the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festivals and charitable initiatives. The company aims to support regional value creation during the Hanse Sail in Rostock and promote culture and encounters during the event.
