In a heartfelt ceremony at Gut Neuhof in Dreieich, Jutta Loesch was presented with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for her tireless efforts in Ukraine aid. Oliver Quilling, Landrat, expressed his deep respect and recognition for Loesch's commitment, which has spanned over two decades.

Loesch's journey began after a life-changing trip to Ukraine, where she witnessed the suffering of the people. Moved by what she saw, she founded the initiative "... täglich Brot für Beregovo," later evolving into the association "Daily Bread for Beregovo - Help for People in Transcarpathia e.V." Since its inception, Loesch and her team have organized over 90 aid shipments, providing essential supplies such as food, clothing, generators, and medical equipment to soup kitchens, old people's homes, mother and child homes, dementia homes, farms, and schools in the Berehowe region.

The partnership between the Offenbach district and Berehowe, initiated by Loesch in 2024, has been a significant outcome of her work. This partnership, based on the foundation she pioneered, has seen aid shipments increase significantly since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Quilling praised Loesch's ability to motivate people to donate and help, including students from the Goetheschule.

Loesch's contributions extend beyond aid shipments. In Neu-Isenburg, she founded the sewing and German learning circle "Nähen und Deutschlernen." The proceeds from this circle benefit the people in Berehowe. Her work in Neu-Isenburg is not limited to aid shipments but also includes integration activities for refugees and women with migration experience.

The Reformed Church in Transcarpathia supports Loesch's work, reflecting the far-reaching impact of her efforts. Quilling emphasized Loesch's courage, organizational talent, energy, and heart in building sustainable aid over the years. He highlighted her partnership with Berehowe as a testament to her commitment and dedication.

Loesch's courage, dedication, and tireless efforts have made a significant difference in the lives of many in Ukraine. Her work serves as an inspiration to all who strive to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
