CiTTi Awards 2024: Finalists Showcase Innovations in Urban Mobility Ticketing
The CiTTi Awards 2024 is set to recognize innovations in urban mobility ticketing and payments. Finalists for The Ticketing and Payments Award have been announced, with APCOA, Q-Park UK, and Transport for Wales with Unicard, iBlocks, Vix Technologies & Cybersource in the running. The ceremony, hosted by Andrew Ryan, will take place on Tuesday, November 26 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
Transport for Wales' EMV account-based ticketing solution has been praised for enabling passengers to use bank cards or mobile wallets for rail travel. Q-Park UK's PaSS system offers seamless, ticketless parking experiences using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology and digital payment solutions. APCOA's ScanPay technology allows QR code-based payment for parking, enhancing accessibility and reducing environmental impact.
The ceremony will be attended by 200 transport professionals and project partners. Tables of 10 and individual tickets are available for purchase, granting access to a pre-ceremony drinks reception, dinner, presentation, and networking opportunities. Criteria for the award include ease of use, accessibility, integration across transport modes, and adoption of new technologies.
