BLR Airport Unveils Unique Sonic Identity 'Rhythm of BLR'
Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport, also known as BLR Airport, has unveiled its unique sonic identity, 'Rhythm of BLR'. This initiative, part of the 'Feels Like BLR' campaign, aims to evoke warmth, comfort, and a sense of place, reflecting the spirit of Bengaluru. The project is a collaboration between Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) and BrandMusiq.
The sonic identity, 'Rhythm of BLR', is a blend of traditional Carnatic elements and contemporary global textures, composed by Ricky Kej for the BLR Anthem. It is designed to transform BLR Airport into a multi-sensory space, reflecting Bengaluru's vibrant personality and enhancing the sensory dimensions of travel. The composition aims to create an emotional connection with passengers, serving as a sensory anchor for their memory of BLR Airport.
Hari Marar, Managing Director & CEO of BIAL, sees 'Rhythm of BLR' as a sonic expression of Bengaluru's spirit that welcomes and comforts passengers. Shalini Rao, Chief Marketing Officer of BIAL, hopes it becomes a memorable part of every passenger's journey. Rajeev Raja, Founder & Soundsmith of BrandMusiq, shaped the sonic identity through a process guided by Indian emotional frameworks and the airport's brand personality.
BLR Airport's distinctive sonic identity, 'Rhythm of BLR', is now live, greeting passengers with the unique spirit of Bengaluru. This initiative is set to enhance the airport experience, creating a personal and emotionally resonant space for every traveler.
