Arnsberg & Meschede Launch Intermunicipal Youth Art School
Arnsberg and Meschede are set to expand their cultural landscape with the establishment of an intermunicipal youth art school. Supported by 'Jugendkunstschule kunsthaus alte mühle e.V.' from Schmallenberg under Beate Herrmann's direction, the project aims to offer decentralized cultural youth work through networking local artists.
The project, funded for three years by the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia and supported by Förderkreis Kunst und Kultur Kloster Wedinghausen e. V., will involve artists from Arnsberg, Meschede, and Sundern. It will use the art mobile (KUMO) to gather input from children, youth facilities, and communities for offer development.
In the founding phase, the focus will be on networking local artists and facilities. Eight KUMOs will be given away, four in Meschede and four in Arnsberg, with offers to be developed this year. Interested artists can contact 'Jugendkunstschule kunsthaus alte muhle e.V.' for participation.
The intermunicipal youth art school project, led by Beate Herrmann, is expected to enrich the cultural landscape of Arnsberg and Meschede. With the support of local artists and facilities, the project aims to offer a diverse range of artistic activities to the youth in the region.
