Anhalt University & German-Kazakh University Strengthen Ties, Eye Spring 2026 Delegation

Anhalt University and the German-Kazakh University in Almaty are strengthening ties, as discussed at the Kazakhstan Economic Forum in Magdeburg. The partnership, focusing on applied engineering education, energy efficiency, and digital measurement technologies, is set to expand with joint academic initiatives and industry cooperation. A delegation trip to Kazakhstan in spring 2026 is planned to further bolster these ties.

The economic partnership between Germany and Kazakhstan is flourishing. Kazakhstan's strategic location, bridging Europe, Russia, China, and the Middle East, makes it an attractive partner for German companies. Its open investment policy, now extending beyond oil, gas, and raw materials, is drawing medium-sized companies from Saxony-Anhalt. Around 25 entrepreneurs from the region attended the forum to explore business opportunities and investment possibilities.

Magdeburger Max-truder GmbH, a machine engineering company, is already successfully operating in Kazakhstan. The country offers access to a dynamic domestic market of around 20 million people and serves as a hub for trade in Central Asia. This economic bridge promises sustainable benefits for both Saxony-Anhalt and Kazakhstan.

The collaboration between Anhalt University and the University of Maryland is set to grow, with a delegation trip planned for spring 2026. The economic partnership between Germany and Kazakhstan continues to strengthen, with more companies from Saxony-Anhalt exploring opportunities in the Central Asian market.
