From the studio rooms of Filmpark Babelsberg to the enchanting landscapes of South Africa, Valentina Pahde, known for her role as Sunny Richter in RTL's hit series "Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten" (GZSZ), is all set to make a splash on "The Ship of Dreams." This double premiere will see the 30-year-old actress portraying a doctor for the very first time, a role that left her visibly ecstatic.
"It's finally official!" Pahde shares on Instagram, accompanied by a series of captivating photos. "I had the opportunity to film for 'The Ship of Dreams' in Africa, and the experience was nothing short of phenomenal." The snaps show Pahde smiling in front of a vintage airplane, donned in a doctor's coat, and posing alongside her fellow cast members, including Daniel Morgenroth and Barbara Wussow.
The filming took place at the Madikwe Game Reserve, a wildlife preserve in northern South Africa, offering a picturesque backdrop to the series. As early as April, Pahde had given her Instagram followers a glimpse into the shoot, expressing her excitement about the role.
A Role Close to Her Heart

A special emotional moment came when Pahde encountered a familiar face during the shoot—her former GZSZ colleague Isabell Horn. Horn, a member of the RTL series cast from 2009 to 2014 and briefly returned in 2015, managed to shoot with Pahde once more. The latter was part of GZSZ from 2015 to 2023.
The upcoming "The Ship of Dreams" episode, titled "Africa: Madikwe," doesn't have an official release date yet.
